Willis Derrek Howard Jr, was born and raised in the great state of Georgia. While graduating from Georgia State University, I picked up a passion for construction and started learning the ins and outs of residential home building. My experience in building homes comes from working for some of the top 20 prestigious residential home builders in the world. During my time as a project manager, I operated and ran neighborhoods at high volume sometimes exceeding 15 -20 houses at a time. Luxury Multi Family townhomes to single family; you name it, I built it. While operating neighborhoods I always made sure to build with excellence and strive myself on cleanliness and maintaining High-Quality Control Scores. One of the issues, while building, that I consistently ran across was minorities, specifically families not being able to afford housing. There are some things that are just simply out of our control as citizens of the United States of America. As a former Project Manager, one thing I loved is the excitement of homeowners once closing a home. There genuinely is no better feeling than to see someone's dreams and aspirations come into fruition such as purchasing a home. Unfortunately, due to things like inflation in the economy, higher interest rates, and just lack of resources lots of families cannot afford quality housing. So, I decided to launch a kick starter program which is a fundraising opportunity to help provide quality housing for minority families. The name of that program is called The Mustard Seed. Here we would like to develop not only the style single family housing seen in photos in the about tab above, but affordable modern duplex communities for families.
